Phi Delta Theta Installs Florida Omicron At Nova Southeastern University

10.31.2018

Phi Delta Theta Fraternity is proud to announce the installation of the Florida Omicron Chapter at Nova Southeastern University. Upon receiving its charter, the Florida Omicron Colony was regarded as one of the most widely-respected Greek organizations on campus. Forming in April 2017, the colony members persevered and worked hard, helping them to obtain their charter at their installation ceremony that occurred on the weekend of October 26-28, 2018.

On October 26, Florida Omicron Colony members gathered on campus at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for their initiation ceremony. Led by General Council President Dr. Chris W. Brussalis, the ceremony was performed by Alex Atkinson (Director of Expansion), Tyler Wilson (Colony Development Specialist), Nash Cantrell  (Senior Leadership Consultant), and local alumni from the South Florida area.

On October 27, the colony members, alumni, Nova Southeastern University administrators, GHQ representatives, friends, and family gathered at the club room in the Rick Case Area for the Florida Omicron Installation Banquet. Presided over by Dr. Chris W. Brussalis, the colony received its first charter and official recognition of its chapter status.

On October 28, Florida Omicron brothers gathered for a ritual review with Tyler Wilson, and Florida Omicron was challenged to grow its membership, obtain the GHQ Award, and strive for the Kansas City Trophy.

The newly installed Florida Omicron Chapter of Phi Delta Theta would like to extend gratitude to the members of Nova Southeastern University for letting them use their wonderful facilities, the representatives of other chapters, alumni, GHQ representatives, and Dan McHenry (Chi South Province President) for making sure that this weekend was a success and a solid starting point for their future as a chapter of Phi Delta Theta.

Phi Delta Theta is very excited to welcome Florida Omicron for the first time as a chapter and to congratulate its newest brothers! We look forward to seeing their future unfold and sharing their success!
