On Friday, March 2nd, 2012 the process of re-installing the Pennsylvania Lambda Chapter at Indiana University of Pennsylvania began. During the initiation process on Friday evening, more than 20 alumni joined the colony to celebrate this momentous occasion. Included in this group was Pennsylvania Lambda Bond #1, Michael Bello of the original Phi Delta Theta chapter at Indiana University of Pennsylvania who read The Bond to those in attendance. At the initiation ceremony, the colony members learned the secrets of the Fraternity and signed The Bond. Following initiation, those in attendance enjoyed dinner at the Coney Bar & Grill. Here, the alumni were able to share stories and memorable experiences of their college days in Phi Delta Theta at IUP. They also shared insight and advice to further strengthen our brotherhood.
On Saturday, March 3 the Pennsylvania Lambda Chapter was re-installed. A ceremony and brunch was held at the Indiana Country Club and families, dates, and closest friends attended to celebrate the success of the Pennsylvania Lambda Chapter. The ceremony began at 11:00am as the chapter filed into the room singing Phi Delta Theta’s Eternal Praise. The installation ceremony included speeches from DeMarkco Butler (Director of Expansion), Chris Brussalis (Member-at-Large of the General Council), Jordan Pallitto (Province President), Steven Johnston (Pennsylvania Lambda President), Zach Hilliard (PA Lambda Social Chair) and a few others. During the installation, General Council Member-at-Large Chris Brussalis presented the chapter its charter and anointed the colony a chapter of Phi Delta Theta.
In accordance with Phi Delta Theta’s Strategic 10-Year Plan, Phi Delt 2020 and its growth initiative,
Phi Delta Theta is currently executing expansion strategies that
culminate in 7 chapter installations annually and 200 chapters by 2020.
The installation of Indiana Lambda is the third chapter installation of
2012 and is the Fraternity’s 170th current active chapter.
