Phi Delta Theta Become the Greates Version of Yourself
DePauw Phis Represented Well With Three on All-NCAC Baseball Team; NCAC Coach of the Year

Greencastle, Ind. - In voting by the North Coast Athletic Conference coaches, DePauw placed eight student-athletes on the all-NCAC baseball teams – three being Indiana Zeta (DePauw) Phi Delts.

pat_lyons.jpgSecond baseman Pat Lyons ’14 was named to the first team as an infielder, while Brendon Pashia ‘14 was a first team outfielder and Elliott Ross ’12 a first team pitcher.

Lyons hit .317 for the Tigers and drove in 28 runs and posted a .978 fielding percentage. Pashia hit .354 with 10 doubles, three triples, four homers, 32 runs and 29 RBI. Ross (pictured near left) posted a 7-1 record on the mound with a 4.18 earned run average. He allowed just 14 walks in 71.0 innings and opposing hitters batted just .252 against him.

jake_martin.jpgDePauw head coach Jake Martin (Wabash ’03) (pictured right) was named the NCAC Coach of the Year after directing the Tigers to a 33-12 overall record including a 12-4 record in NCAC games and the western division top seed.

DePauw, in its first season in the NCAC, finished second at last week's conference tournament and is currently ranked 22nd by both D3baseball.com and in the latest coaches' poll.
