Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today announced that Michael McLean of Summit has completed his Spring internship in Lance's Capitol Hill office. McLean, 21, is currently a student at Ohio Wesleyan University.

“Michael was a wonderful, hard-working addition to my Capitol Hill office," said Lance.  "Michael conducted himself professionally and I am grateful for all his efforts helping me serve the people of New Jersey’s Seventh District.  Internships are a great way for young people to learn more about how government works and help serve the people of their community through public service.”

Interns in Lance’s congressional office perform a variety of duties, including greeting office visitors, facilitating tours of the U.S. Capitol for visiting residents and helping staff with legislative research projects as well as constituent correspondence.

"I thoroughly enjoyed my internship experience with Congressman Lance's office because it allowed me to participate in the daily workings of our government and further my knowledge of the political process," McLean said of his internship experience

McLean is the son of David and Tammy McLean of Summit.
