Phi Delta Theta is looking for men and women that have the desire and willingness to share their expertise and background with the undergraduate brothers of Phi Delta Theta.

For decades the word “Chapter Adviser” was associated with a single brave soul who served as a full counselor and fraternity guru. This individual commonly spent so much time at the chapter house that he might as well have had a bed there.

However, over the years the Chapter Adviser has evolved into a Chapter Advisory Board and the distribution of responsibilities has been spread out throughout this committee structure. The Chapter Advisory Board (CAB) commonly includes a Chapter Advisory Board Chairman, a financial adviser, a recruitment adviser, an academic adviser, an alumni relations adviser, a facilities manager, and a faculty adviser. The individuals making up the CAB usually meet once a month independently of the chapter and spend the majority of their individual time working with the specific chapter officer that matches their responsibilities.

The Chapter Advisory Board is usually made up of alumni from that specific chapter and other Phi Delts who live in the surrounding community.  However, an increasing number of Chapter Advisory Boards have enhanced their board membership by involving parents and members of the university and surrounding community.  These individuals bring a fresh and different perspective to the Fraternity which can directly impact the undergraduate brothers.
