Phi Delta Theta Become the Greates Version of Yourself

Phi Delta Theta does not condone any form of hazing.  It is contrary to the purpose of the Fraternity.  Members can still achieve a close group of men throughout the organization without hazing and Phi Delta Theta General Headquarters offers resources to help transplant negative activities with positive ones.

“Don’t Tarnish the Badge” Anti-Hazing Philosophy
Our Fraternity has initiated an anti-hazing philosophy, “Don’t Tarnish the Badge.” Click on the title to view a PDF of the program.  “Don’t Tarnish the Badge” confronts the common excuses offered in defense of hazing and defines the disciplinary actions that will result should hazing be detected in any chapter.  Furthermore, the program offers alternatives to build brotherhood rather than tear it down.

Hazing Amnesty Program
The governing body of Phi Delta Theta freely offers a hazing amnesty program to chapter officers.  We will help any chapter officer that willingly comes forward, admits his chapter has a hazing problem, and is sincere about stopping these practices.  We actively assist chapters to develop alternatives to hazing and a meaningful pledge program that embraces our Cardinal Principles of friendship, sound learning, and moral rectitude.

Phi Delta Theta does everything possible to educate its members on the detrimental effects of hazing.  Nevertheless, we need the assistance of parents, siblings, relatives, friends, peers, and university officials to further spread the message that hazing is wrong.
