Communications Coordinator Internship


Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity is looking for students seeking an internship in the non-profit sector. Key responsibilities will include multiple projects including research, feature story writing for the Fraternity's semiannual magazine, press release writing, design layout for numerous publications, and web-based integrated marketing communication initiatives.

Phi Delta Theta Fraternity was founded in Oxford, Ohio in 1848.  It is an organization for college men that encourages friendship, sound learning, and rectitude.  Phi Delta Theta was the first male fraternity to enforce alcohol free living at all 160 chapter facilities in the United States and Canada.  Phi Delta Theta is historically among the largest fraternities with almost 250,000 initiated members. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and update storyboards/articles online.
  • Develop feature stories for the biannual magazine.  This includes researching interesting topics and then writing the article. 
  • Building upon IMC initiatives
  • To coordinate meetings with feature story participants
  • Work with editorial assistant to gather photographs and information for Phi Notes, Alumni Clubs, Chapter News, and Obituary columns.
  • Write and publish numerous press releases
  • Accomplish other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Creative
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Understanding of Greek organizations encouraged but not required


Time:

  • 12 hours per week (must work 3 hours continuous hours in one working day)
  • 14 week program, start date TBD.  Must work Monday mornings starting at 9:00 am


Compensation: Unpaid

 

Location: Oxford, Ohio - 2 South Campus Ave.
