Each school year, Phi Delta Theta's Leadership Consultants collectively accumulate 120,000 miles on their vehicles (not to mention the countless number of miles in the air) visiting Phi Delta Theta's chapters, colonies, interest groups, alumni clubs, and conferences. Eight of twelve months out of the year are spent on the road experiencing the vast Fraternity that is Phi Delta Theta. While daunting, the schedule that the Consultants keep provides an experience that very few would trade.
Throughout the years, Leadership Consultants have been valuable pillars in the Fraternity's structure and success, consulting with and assisting Phi Delts throughout North America.
Leadership Consultants are full-time employees of the Fraternity who assist the General Council in executing the vision of Phi Delta Theta. As the liaison between the General Fraternity, chapters, and constituents, Leadership Consultants embody the Cardinal Principles and represent over 165,000 Phi Delts internationally.
As part of the ever-growing and developing chapter services team, consultants visit approximately 30-35 different chapters each school year. While traveling, they assess chapter operations and facilitate student-driven, long-term change within the chapter. They plan and execute chapter/officer retreats, build community relations, hone leadership skills of chapter members and volunteers, and influence student leaders. Consultants also initiate change at General Headquarters through the creation of new Fraternity resources and programs and assist in the planning of many leadership conferences and conventions that take place throughout the year.
Leadership Consultants also have the opportunity to work directly with the Fraternity's expansion efforts. The Expansion Team works to (re)establish new chapters of Phi Delta Theta across North America. Consultants work to build a recruitment strategy on those campuses where the Fraternity is returning, recruit (Re)Founding Fathers and educate these students about how to effectively operate a chapter of Phi Delta Theta.
Leadership Consultant applications are due on April 1, 2013.

After 18 months and 11 expansions of working with the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity Expansion Team, I am sadden to round up my final year, but excited to leave my legacy with my last projects. I live and breathe recruitment, and enjoy educating colony members on how to effectively grow their membership. When I step into a room full of undergrads that are ready to start constructing the foundation of a new chapter, my blood rushes with argent and azure. I am ready to bring my energy and inspiration to Indiana University Purdue Univeristy – Indianapolis, Carnegie Mellon, Chapman University, and more.
