Wisconsin Gamma Phis Celebrate 50 Years at Ripon College and Election of IFC President

wi_gamma_50th.jpgOn Saturday, April 24, 2010, brothers of past and present celebrated 50 years at Ripon College. As part of a weekend full of events, the occasion was marked with a celebratory banquet in which nearly 100 people attended.

With members returning from as far back as the class of 1960, the weekend was filed with fond stories and reunions. At the banquet, speakers included the chapter’s first president, Brother Thomas Kuehl ’60, honorary alumni member and former chapter advisor, Kermit “Doc” Weiske ’50 and current chapter president, Rusty Schultz ’11.

In other Wisconsin Gamma news, Brother Casey Totten was recently elected by his peers to serve as the IFC President of Ripon College. His term will run for the duration of the 2010-11 academic year.

Ripon College is home to five fraternities including its Phi Delt chapter.

Brother Totten is currently a junior studying biology, chemistry and Latin. He also serves as the Chapter’s Scholarship Chairman.
