Hofstra Interest Group Members Elected as SGA President and Vice President

ny_kappa_sga.jpgOn Thursday, April 22, 2010, Jimmy Wells and Luke Miedreich were elected as the Hofstra University Student Government Association President and Vice President.  Wells and Miedriech are Founding Fathers and members of the New York Kappa interest group at Hofstra University.  Wells, the newly elected SGA president and sophomore, is the current scholarship chairman of the interest group, and Miedreich, VP elect of SGA, also a sophomore, is the secretary.
 
“I’m so excited to lead our student body,” Miedreich stated, “The victory would not have been possible without Phi Delta Theta.”

Jimmy Wells said, “It’s going to be a tough job, but I’m comforted with the fact that I have the support of the Fraternity… It shows our members can be leaders within the campus community, and give back.”

Also elected to the general body of SGA were Steve Aikens, Gregg Albaum, Bryce Cody, Nick Gomes, Michael Hershfield, Ryan Hopkins, Julian Kowalcyzk and Daniel Mercia, with a total of ten Phi Delt interest group members representing New York Kappa.  Congratulations to all of them!
