Alabama Alpha (Alabama) Phis Help Tuscaloosa Walk to Defeat ALS Raise $28,000 |
 (Tuscaloosa, AL— May 7, 2010) The ALS Association – Alabama Chapter held its 4th annual Walk to Defeat ALS™ on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the University Of Alabama Campus-On The Quad. Over 250 attended and over $28,000 was raised to help support people with ALS throughout the state. Presenting sponsor was EBSCO Industries, Inc. Local sponsors included Jim Walter Resources, Financial Institutions of Tuscaloosa and Robertson Banking. The Phi Delta Theta Chapter was the venue sponsor and assisted with the logistics of the event.

The ALS Association –Alabama Chapter, established in 2004, is a non-profit agency whose mission is to lead the cure and treat ALS through global, cutting-edge research, and to empower people with Lou Gehrig’s Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.
