Texas Beta (Texas) Phis Team Up With Busby Foundation to Raise $90,000 for ALS

busby_crawfish_boil.jpgThe Texas Beta Chapter of Phi Delta Theta at the University of Texas recently teamed up again with the Busby Foundation to throw one awesome philanthropy event. The 6th annual Crawfish Boil, aided for the 2nd year in a row by Phi Delta Theta, has seen a dramatic increase in attendance and revenue. The Busby Foundation aids families in central Texas that are affected by ALS. This year, on April 16, 2010, the boil raised over $90,000 for the Busby Foundation. Musical guests included Kelly Willis, famed songwriter Bruce Robison, and Texas country legend Charlie Robison. Texas football stars Colt McCoy and Jordan Shipley were in attendance and helped to draw a crowd of almost 1100 people.

The Texas Beta Chapter would like to thank everyone from the Busby Foundation for their continued efforts to help aid families affected by ALS. We would also like to thank all of our wonderful sponsors for helping make this event possible. We look forward to working with the Busby Foundation in years to come and are very happy with the results of this event.
