Ohio Lambda (Kent State) Help Raise $15,700 at Campus Songfest

ohio_lambda_songfest.jpgOn November 14, the Phis of the Ohio Lambda Chapter at Kent State University participated in Songfest, a program of song and dance to raise money for a cause. This year Songfest raised a combined amount of over $15,700 for Hattie Larlham. Hattie Larlham is an organization that helps adults and children with developmental disabilities.

The sisters of Alpha Phi, brothers of Phi Sigma Kappa, and the Phis placed 1st in participation, and 1st in fundraising. Together this group raised $4,500 toward Hattie Larlham, which out of a total of 6 groups, corporate sponsors, and door money makes almost a third of the funds raised. Due to the number of participants, and funds raised, the Phis, Alpha Phi, and Phi Sigma Kappa placed 1st over all in Songfest 2009. This gives the Ohio Lambda Phis their second consecutive Songfest victory. This accomplishment has raised morale and strengthened brotherhood, along with creating friendships with Alpha Phi and Phi Sigma Kappa.
