Tennessee Alpha (Vanderbilt) Re-Colonizes with 46 Members

tn_alpha_colonization.jpgOn November 15th, 2009, 46 men were inducted into the Tennessee Alpha colony at Vanderbilt University.  The colonization marks the return to campus following Phi Delta Theta’s departure in 2004.  The colonization of Tennessee Alpha brings Tennessee to five chapters.

This new group possesses the understanding of Phi Delta Theta’s values and are dedicated to improving Greek Life and campus culture.  Starting with a small group of 15 committed men, the colony has grown to 46 through their own recruitment efforts.  These men include members of Honor Council, religious organizations, varsity sports teams, volunteer organizations and club sports.

The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Allen Edwards, Province President of Eta South.  It was also attended by members of the CAB, representatives of the Greek Life office, and sorority representatives.

Tennessee Alpha hopes to receive its charter before the end of the spring semester.  Any congratulatory comments can be forwarded to colony president, Edin Trto at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
