California Pi (SDSU) Colonization is Largest in Phi Delta Theta's History

california_pi_colonization.jpgOn Friday evening, November 20, the California Pi Interest Group at San Diego State University became the largest fraternity colonization in both Phi Delta Theta’s and SDSU’s history.  All in all, 67 accepted the responsibility of being Founding Fathers at SDSU.  The number of men in the young Colony is impressive, but so are each member’s credentials.  Members truly exemplify what it means to be a Phi by serving in various positions and organizations:

•    VP of Finance - Associated Students Government
•    President Pro Tempore – Associated Students Government
•    President – College of Sciences
•    President – College of Health and Human Services
•    President – SDSU Ambassadors
•    President – Commuter Connections
•    President – Student Alumni Association
•    President – Residence Hall Association
•    President – AB Samahan (Largest Student Org. on Campus)
•    Past President – Asian Pacific Student Alliance (2nd Largest Student Org. on Campus)
•    3 Members of Homecoming Court
•    9 Additional AS Government Representatives/Committee Members
•    10 Additional Members of SDSU Ambassadors (3 additional execs)
•    Officers and Members in over 60 Different student organizations on campus

The men were joined at the Colonization ceremony by alumni from the original Founding of California Pi and from other chapters in the region.  The Colony will now be striving to be become a Chapter next spring by working with their alumni volunteers, the campus community and Phi Delta Theta’s General Headquarters.
