Conference Overview

Educating Our Front Line Volunteers

Behind every great chapter is a team of great advisors. The mentoring, coaching, and oversight provided by a Chapter Advisory Board is essential to a chapter’s success. Each year, Phi Delta Theta hosts Chapter Advisory Board training in conjunction with the five Regional Recruitment Workshops. These summits not only provide valuable information and training for CAB members, but they also provide a number of opportunities for volunteers to network, share best practices, and interact with undergraduates from the region. Volunteers who attend the CAB Summit programming receive credit for their online certification.

Volunteers attending the regional CAB Summits will:

  1. Learn updated information about the general Fraternity.
  2. Understand the fundamental purpose and mechanics of a Chapter Advisory Board.
  3. Learn basic principles and philosophies of volunteer management.
  4. Discover the advantages of an objective-based management style.
  5. Clarify their personal advising style.
  6. Increase their knowledge about college students and the higher education landscape of today.
  7. Develop relationships with GHQ representatives and fellow volunteers through networking and sharing best practices.
Schedule of Events

For all summit locations, check-in and breakfast begins at 8:30am. The program starts promptly at 9:30am and ends no later than 4:00pm. To see the most up-to-date schedule (or a previous year’s schedule) for the conference, visit this link.

Want to register everyone at once?

A CAB representative may register all attending members via their MyPhiDeltaTheta dashboard by using the ‘Register Myself and/or Others’ button once the appropriate conference is selected. In addition, each individual is able to register for the CAB Summit they plan to attend.
