Phi Delta Theta’s Tennessee Alpha Chapter at Vanderbilt University raised over $32,000 for the Tennessee Chapter of The ALS Association with their 2016 Vann Webb Memorial Pig Roast fundraiser.
The fundraiser is in honor of the memory of William Vann Bartlett Webb Jr., a former member of Tennessee Alpha who tragically passed away at age 21 after a battle with a rare form of neuroendocrine cancer.
Tennessee Alpha was able to exceed their goal of raising $30,000 with the help of a powerful effort from the entire chapter, generous donations from alumni and significant support from the Vanderbilt community. The Vanderbilt chapter has 100 initiated brothers making it one of the largest chapters on campus. Furthermore, Tennessee Alpha has boasted the highest GPA of any fraternity for the last two years, with a current GPA of 3.56.
