Mild By Nature – Florida Atlantic

Pursuit of Greatness
Mild By Nature – Florida Atlantic

Formed in January of 2015, Mild by Nature is an alternative band from Boca Raton, Florida. The group is composed of four Phis from Florida Atlantic University: Jacob Spooner (Vocalist), Craig Hering (Lead Guitar), Trevor Fowlow (Drums) and Joey Dequattro (Rhythm Guitar and Vocals). Initially, the band was formed to compete in a local battle of the bands fundraiser for ALS at one of the premier music venues in South Florida, Jazziz. After only two weeks of being together, the band’s success in the competition proved to themselves and others how good they could become.

Since their inception, Mild By Nature has grown rapidly, transforming from a cover band playing at local college bars to writing and performing original music that has captivated their loyal fan base. With their EP released on August 1, Mild By Nature hopes to spread their edgy, laid back tracks with music lovers around the world via streaming platforms like Spotify and YouTube.

Recently, Mild By Nature competed in a nationwide competition to play at Okeechobee Music Festival that featured headliners Mumford and Sons, Robert Plant, Kendrick Lamar and Hall & Oates. The band placed second out of 760 entrants in the competition thanks to online supporters raving about the two singles they released for the competition, ‘Sugar Daddy Killer’ and ‘Good Days.’ The band’s festival run gave them credibility in the Florida music scene.
