California Sigma Celebrates 20 Years At Sonoma State University

On May 13, 2017, the California Sigma Chapter held a dinner to celebrate 20 successful years at Sonoma State University. The dinner was well attended with more than 70 alumni and 30 active brothers. The attendees represented more than 25% of the initiated members of California Sigma, many of whom hadn’t been on the Sonoma State University campus since their graduation.

In addition to the company and camaraderie of their brothers, the attendees heard updates on the state of the Fraternity from General Council Reporter Moe Stephens. Moe shared his connection to California Sigma as a Leadership Consultant as well as words of advice for both the alumni and undergraduates in attendance. Chapter President Max Hull provided a state of the chapter, sharing that membership has swelled to more than 80 active brothers and that recruitment efforts are proving successful. Max also shared that the Teeter-Totter-a-Thon, started 18 years prior, raised more than $15,000 for the fight against Cystic Fibrosis, a disease that claimed the life of one of the brothers.

The event was attended by 12 of the 20 past chapter presidents as well as the Province President Mike Ogg and Chapter Advisory Board Chairman Matt Nicholson.
