Emporia Alumni Club & Kansas Epsilon Interest Group (Emporia State) Raise $2,212 at Homecoming For Local Agency

The Emporia Alumni Club and the Kansas Epsilon Interest Group collaborated to generate dollars for SOS, Inc., the local agency that provides shelter, advocacy, and support for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse and neglect across a six-county region.

2018 marked the 33rd annual Emporia State Homecoming Pole-Sit for SOS, Inc. The 24-hour boot drive in front of campus at 12th & Commercial St. raise a preliminary total of $2,212. The online giving option remains open. For the second year, the Club entered a Pole-Sit float in the homecoming parade collecting donations along the route.

The Emporia Phi Delta Theta Alumni Club was founded in January 1909 by area Phis, including two Famous Phis, William Allen White and Brock Pemberton. Since the first Homecoming Pole-Sit for SOS, Inc. in 1986, over $85,000 has been raised in support of this vital local agency.
