Brother Shafer became the Interim VP for University Advancement at the University of Louisville in July of 2018. Prior to this role, he served as the Head of Business Development for Ramsey Quantitative Systems. Prior to joining RQSI, Brad spent 20 years in Higher Education Development/Fundraising and held leadership roles beginning in 2003. He served six years in the United States Air Force Guard and was honorably discharged, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. Brother Shafer earned his B.S. (1994) and M.Ed. (1998) degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and his J.D. from Creighton University in 2003.
Brad pledged Nebraska Alpha in 1989, initiated in 1990 and held several offices in the chapter during his tenure. He was the first Nebraska Phi Delt in 28 years to serve as an Executive Member on the NU Interfraternity Council (1993) and was awarded the Gamma Gamma Award (Top 1% Greek Leaders) at the culmination of that term.
Brother Shafer has served on the Nebraska Alpha House Corporation Board since 1995 and helped lead a capital campaign that raised over $1M to renovate the chapter house and create scholarships.
