About Roger

Roger Cerne joined the staff of the Case Alumni Association on 1974 and served as its executive director and CEO for 27 years.

The Association is an independent, non-profit organization of more than 17,000 engineering alumni of Case Western Reserve University located on the Cleveland, Ohio campus.

Having retired from the Association, Mr. Cerne is now a fund-raising consultant and executive advisor to the Case School of Engineering at Case Western Reserve University.

Cerne became a member of the Board of Trustees of the Phi Delta Theta Foundation in 1984.  He was elected chairman of the board in 1988 and served in that position until he was named an Emeritus Trustee of the Foundation in 1998. He also served Phi Delta Theta as a trustee of the Banta Memorial Endowment Fund.

The Case Alumni Association recognized Mr. Cerne in 1993 with its prestigious Meritorious Service Award and in 2012 received the first Lifetime Service Award granted by the Case School of Engineering, Case Western Reserve University.
